Scope

This article provides information about firmware updates to DNS-E8, E24, and E48-series networking switches.

Seeing What's New

Datto usually releases new switch management features within days of releasing new firmware for upgrade within the Cloud Management Tool.

If you upgrade to a new firmware version on the day it is released, you should check the "What's new" notifications by clicking the present icon in the upper right corner of the Cloud Management Tool (see Figure 1) to know when the new features will be available in the GUI.

Firmware

1.03.05 (July 11, 2017)

  • FIX: Switch could hang when setting rate limit setting on port.

Adds support for the following cloud management configuration features

  • LLDP (not LLDP-MED)
  • Diagnostic features (Cable Test / Ping / Traceroute)

1.02.07 (April 12, 2017)

  • FIX: Addresses a condition where the Switch stops checking in
  • FIX: Improvements to upgrade process and install validation
