LED Behavior

Power LED indicator:

This LED indicator represents the power state of the device:

  • Power on: Solid blue
  • Power off: Dark (the LED is off)

Unit identification LED Indicator

This will glow blue when the unit identification LED is pressed.

Power Supply Unit (PSU) LED Indicator

This LED will display the following behaviors under certain conditions:

  • Output ON and OK: Solid green
  • No AC power to PSU or any PSU in parallel: Dark (the LED is off)
  • AC present/only standby output on: Slow flashing green
  • AC cord unplugged or AC power lost with a second power supply in parallel still with AC input power: Solid amber
  • Abnormal conditions are present on the device, such as high temperatures, high power, high current, or slow spinning fans: Slow blinking amber
  • PSU critical event causing shutdown, such as over-current, over-voltage, or fan failure: Fast blinking amber
  • PSU firmware update mode: Fast blinking green

HDD LED Indicator

Each bay contains a pair of LED lights that display the following behaviors under certain conditions:

Power LED

  • Hard drive fault has occurred: Dark (the LED is off)
  • Powered on and operational: Solid blue

Activity LED

  • HDD is busy and operational: Solid green
  • Drive is booting and spinning up: Blinking red
