Advanced Alerting

This article describes the Advanced Alerting section of the Datto appliance GUI.

Overview
The Advanced Alerting feature sends an initial alert when your device encounters an error, and then summarizes subsequent alerts for the day. You must enable Advanced Alerting on your appliance before this option will become available.
Procedure
- To enable or disable Advanced Alerting, open the GUI for the device.
- Click the Configure tab, and click Device .
- Navigate to the Advanced Alerting section of the Device Settings screen, and click Enable Advanced Alerting to activate the Alert Summary feature, or Disable Advanced Alerting to deactivate it.
- After you enable Advanced Alerting, the Datto device will send a daily alert summary for the Datto appliance in addition to the device alerts you have enabled.. The summary email is sent each day even if no alerts have occurred. See Configuring email alerts for Datto BCDR devices in the Partner Portal for more information on setting up device alerts.
