How do I buy, authorize, and set up Datto SaaS Protection for Office 365 in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia-Pacific?

Answer

As a Canada, APAC, or ANZ-based Datto partner, you are responsible for initiating the purchase of Backupify for Office 365 for your local business clients, handling the quote, and accepting the added costs to your monthly expenses from Datto. Since you are providing Partner-managed Backupify services, you will also be responsible for authorizations and all of the user configurations.
To ensure the best onboarding experience, Datto recommends using the Chrome or Firefox browsers with Datto SaaS Protection.

Procedure

Log into the partner portal at partners.dattobackup.com.

Access the Datto Store from the drop-down menu:

Select SaaS Protection. You will be redirected to the Datto SaaS Protection registration page.

When offered, select Purchase new SaaS Protection O365.

Enter the user account details. Be sure to use an email address you have not used for a previous client.

A confirmation code will be sent to your email. Copy and paste the code into the user account screen and click confirm.

Log in with the email and password you created.

Authenticate the account. Make sure you are entering in global admin user credentials in your client’s O365 environment. For authentication purposes, make sure there is an assigned exchange license.

Click continue to proceed to the Onboarding Wizard.

Choose the appropriate storage location.

Setup is complete. You can now add users to the backup.
