This article covers frequently asked questions about finding device registration information in the Partner Portal.

FAQ

How can I tell when my device was registered?

Log into the partner portal, click on the Devices tab, then select Status 2.0 from the drop-down menu. Click on the device name. The registration date is in the Billing section of the Device Overview page, under the Warranty and Upgrade heading.

How can I tell when my warranty expires?

Log into the partner portal, click on the Devices tab, then select Status 2.0 from the drop-down menu. Click on the device name. The warranty expiration date is in the Billing section of the Device Overview page, under the Warranty and Upgrade heading.

Is there a way to extend my warranty?

If the device is eligible, you will see an Extend Warranty link in the Billing section of the Device Overview page. Clicking that link launches the Device Service page, where you can extend both the service term and the warranty. You can find extended warranty information here: https://portal.dattobackup.com/resources/policies#ExtendedHardwareWarrantySec

Will I get an alert about my warranty expiring?

There are no warranty expiration alerts at this time. 

If my device gets replaced, will my warranty remain the same or will it add on?

No, if a device is replaced while under warranty the new device keeps the original expiration date of the device it is replacing.
