What do I do if IMAP is not enabled?

For the majority of Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection customers, IMAP is no longer utilized in our process to back up your Google Apps data. But, for a small number of customers, we may still be backing up your Gmail data using IMAP.  

The following error is listed on the user's last backup status if IMAP is not enabled for your domain: "Backup disabled because IMAP is not enabled for your domain. Please contact your system administrator to enable it." The errors can be resolved by enabling IMAP access to the domain.

Enable IMAP access to all users in your domain:

1. Log into your Google Apps domain panel

2. Select Apps.

 3. Select G Suite.

4. Select Gmail.

5. Select POP and IMAP access and make sure the box is NOT checked. Save if needed and allow 24 hours for the changes to affect Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection
