Backupify for Salesforce Known Issues & Limitations

  • Our Backups currently are not designed to perform incremental backups. More specifically if our system detects a change in just a single record within an object, our system attempts to backup the entire object again.
    • The lack of an incremental backup leads to issues backing up larger salesforce instances (accounts with >100 GB of Data). This has caused some significant pain with some our larger customers

  • You cannot pick and choose which objects to backup using our product

  • Custom object restore is not currently available

  • Our restores are not relational

  • Partial Backups not due to API limit errors
    • I have seen these types of situations resolved by disabling the backup and having the customer log in and re-authorize. I think the theory it that sometimes there are issues with the authentication key that SF provides. Re-authorizing the service
