Supporting Your Product: Establish a remote session with Datto Technical Support



This article gives you the steps to follow to establish a remote session with Datto Technical Support.

When establishing a remote session with Datto Technical Support, we recommend using TeamViewer v.15. You do not need to purchase a license to use it.


You don't need to follow this procedure If you already have TeamViewer v.15 installed on your machine. Simply enter the session code into TeamViewer.

Downloading TeamViewer QuickSupport

1. To download the screen share application, click the link sent by Datto Technical Support, or use the links below.

2. When the download is complete, click the executable file.

3. When Windows shows the security warning, click YES to allow installation.

4. You'll see a dialog box. It will display Your ID and Password.

Give the Datto Technical Support Expert the TeamViewer credentials. Once the technician joins the session, there will be a message asking you to allow access to your computer. Once you accept, the Datto Technical Support Expert will be able to access your computer through the session.
