Scope

This article provides the layout and hardware specifications for Datto's SIRIS 2 Business appliances, and instructions for working with hardware.

Device Layout

This layout covers SIRIS Business models SB500, SB1000, and SB2000.

SIRIS Business 2000 (SB2000)

  • Storage: 2 x 2TB (RAID 1)
  • OS Drive: 1 x 60GB SSD

  • NIC: Dual onboard
  • PSU: 250 Watt, no redundancy

Working with Hardware

Opening the Chassis

  1. Remove the three screws on the back of the chassis.
  2. Slide the case towards you.

Replacing an SSD OS drive:

Do not start this procedure without the guidance of a Datto Tech Support Expert. You will need to perform some tasks on the device before removing the old hard drive.
  1. Unplug the power and SATA cables from the SSD drive.


  2. Remove the following 4 screws holding the drive in place.


  3. Carefully move cords so that you can lift out the drive.


  4. Unscrew the four screws holding the drive to the metal plate.
