SIRIS, ALTO, and NAS: Accessing a Datto Appliance Interface

Follow

Topic

This article describes how to access a Datto appliance's interface.

Environment

  • Datto SIRIS
  • Datto ALTO
  • Datto NAS

Description

You can access the web interface of a Datto appliance by using one of the following methods:

Accessing the Datto Appliance from the LAN

If you are on the same LAN as the appliance, you can navigate directly to its GUI by entering the device's IP address as the destination URL in a web browser.

Alternatively, you can navigate to http://device.dattobackup.com. This page will list all Datto appliances available on your network. Click the device you wish to access.

This method of access is useful in situations where your appliance may have obtained a new IP address after moving to another location and the new IP address is unknown.

NOTE: Access via LAN will be unavailable if you have disabled local access in your appliance's Global Device Settings.

Accessing the Datto Appliance from a Remote Location

You can remotely access your Datto appliance's interface using the Remote Web feature in the Partner Portal. The following steps require that you have a Partner Portal account and that your device meets all networking requirements in the SIRIS, ALTO, and DNAS Networking & Bandwidth Requirements article.

  1. Navigate to https://partners.datto.com, and log in to your account.
  2. Click the Status tab, and then select BCDR Status from the drop-down menu.
  3. Look for your appliance's name. You can also search for it by using the search bar, as shown in Figure 1.
  4. Click the Device Web icon to initiate a remote session with your appliance.
