This article gives guidance on what to do when the follow error occurs: File System Unmounted or Volumes Are Unmounted
Below are a few reasons why this error may occur:
- There was a power outage on premises, and the unit didn't properly shut down.
- There was a hard reboot done recently.
- If the device was recently rebooted to a larger device (over 5 TB in size). With more disks in the array, it takes longer to initialize. Allow 20-45 minutes for this to occur.
If the ZFS filesystem is correctly mounted, the datasets named homePool/data and homePool/data/logs will show as unmounted in a ZFS list. The other datasets will show as mounted. See Figure 1.
