Storm season is back, bringing with it the potential for significant weather events. If you have clients in areas prone to infrastructure disruption, visit the Disaster Recovery Resources guide for preparedness information. Datto recommends performing proactive disaster recovery testing to mitigate potential downtime. The "Get ownCloud" Link is Missing From the Web Interface

You are attempting to install ownCloud on your Datto appliance, but the link to install ownCloud is not visible in the appliance's web interface. Normally, the Get ownCloud link would be in the upper right hand corner, as shown in Figure 1.

On newer versions of the SIRIS OS, go to the File Share menu, and click File Sync and Share (ownCloud) to get to the ownCloud installer.

OwnCloud is only available on SIRIS appliances that are running Ubuntu 12.04.

If the SIRIS is not running Ubuntu 12.04, you will see the message shown in Figure 2.

If that banner is present, you will first need to upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04 by clicking "Upgrade your device's operating system." You can find information and instructions in the article Device Upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04.

If your appliance should be able to run ownCloud, but does not display the link to do so, please contact Technical Support. We may need to manually install the ownCloud package.
