SIRIS 5000 3U, SIRIS 10000 3U, and SIRIS 20000 3U Hardware Specifications



This article provides the device layout and hardware specifications for the 3U chassis of Datto's SIRIS 5000, 10000, and 20000 appliances.

Device Layout

Figure 1 shows the front and back panels of a SIRIS 3U rackmount case in use for S5000, S10000, and S20000 appliances.

SIRIS 5000 3U (S5000)

  • OS Drive: 2 x 1TB 
  • Memory: 24G of 1333Mhz DDR3 ECC REG RAM
  • Processor: 2 x 2.4Ghz Quad Core

SIRIS 10000 3U (S10000)

  • Storage: 12 x 1TB / RAID 6
  • OS Drive: 2 x 1TB / RAID 1
  • Memory: 36G of 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM
  • Processor: 2 x 2.4Ghz

SIRIS 20000 3U (S20000)

  • Storage: 12 x 2TB / RAID 6
  • OS Drive: 2 x 1TB / RAID 1
  • Memory: 48GB of 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM
  • Processor: 2 x 2.4Ghz

Working with Hardware

Opening the Chassis

Push in the two tabs at the top of the chassis and slide the top cover towards the back of the device, then lift it off.


Some devices will identify the OS drive cable with a white tag much closer to the motherboard than the other drive cables.  If you are unsure which is the OS drive you can try this method.


* Remove a fan by pinching the tab inwards towards the fan's body.
