SIRIS, ALTO, and NAS: How to Access a Datto Backup Appliance

This article describes methods you can use to access and manage your Datto appliance.

  • Datto SIRIS
  • Datto ALTO
  • Datto NAS

Management options for your Datto appliance are available through its browser-based user interface. You can access the device GUI through several methods.

Ensure that your Datto appliance's networking environment meets the compatibility requirements described in this article before proceeding.

Accessing the Datto Device from the LAN

If you are on the same LAN as your appliance, you can access the device directly. This method can be faster than accessing the appliance GUI through a remote location and is useful when troubleshooting connectivity issues which may be preventing the device from reaching outside the network. See Accessing a Datto Device Through Remote Web: LAN to learn more.

NOTE: This option will be unavailable if you have disabled local access in your appliance's Global Device Settings.

Accessing the Datto Device from the Partner Portal

If you're not onsite with the Datto appliance, you can access it remotely from the Datto Partner Portal. See Accessing a Datto Device Through Remote Web: Remote Location to learn more.

Accessing a Datto Device through IPMI

You can also remotely manage a Datto appliance through IPMI, a remote hardware management interface. See this article for more information.
