Reports: Continuity Audit

1. Scope

This article explains the Continuity Audit Report and how it can help you create a cohesive spreadsheet or document with date, time, and status of each backup. It also details the retention settings.

2. Background

The Continuity Audit Report lists the following information about the data associated with your Datto device:

  • Date of backup
  • Time of backup
  • Success of Screenshot Verification
  • Success of recovery point
  • Retention settings (local and cloud)

3. Procedure

This report only runs once a day.

To generate the Continuity Audit Report, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Remote Web and log in.
  2. Click on the Reports tab, and click Continuity Audit:



  3. Wait for it to load:



  4. Change the date range as needed, then click Update Report:
  5. Click the plus sign to the right of the agent to expand, or the expand button as shown below:

  •  Using this expandable option will give you the ability to view important information under each date:

  • Date: The time of each completed recovery point
  • Status: Tells you the detail of each recovery point:
  • "Successful recovery point exists locally" - the backup was successful and is on the Datto
  • "Successful Screenshot Verified" - a successful screenshot was taken of the backup
  • "Successful point exists locally and in the cloud" - the backup exists on the Datto and has synced offsite 
  • Retention: This gives you detailed information on what your local and cloud retention is set at

6. You can also export this information by clicking the Export button to choose CSV (spreadsheet) or PDF (document):
