Authorize a Siris Virtual Instance

Scope

This article explains the authorization process for a Siris virtual instance. This authorization process appears when you boot a Siris virtual instance, just after setup.

Process

The first screen informs you that you can adjust the network settings for this appliance through the vSphere console.

Click Next to continue to the Authorization Code screen, as shown in Figure 2.

Enter the code from your email invoice. You can copy and paste. Then, click Next. You will see the Storage Configuration screen, as shown in Figure 3.

Check the box for the disk you wish to you for your datastore. Then, click Next.

If you don't see the correct drive, modify your VM settings in vSphere. Then, click the Rescan link.

You will then see the Completing Authorization status screen, as shown in Figure 4.

When the authorization is complete, you will see the Authorization Successful screen as shown in Figure 5.

Click the Continue to Registration button when you are ready to register your appliance. This will bring you to the registration screen. For details on this process, see the article Registering a Datto Appliance.
