Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection: Receiving a 409 error on Restores

Follow

Issue

Why am I receiving a 409 error on Restores in Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for G Suite 1.0?

Environment

  • Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for G Suite 1.0

Cause

If you receive a '409' error when attempting to run a restore, it is because the restore is being created for a user that is still archived in Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection.

Resolution

If the user has recently been recreated or re-enabled in G Suite, it takes Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for Google Apps 24 hours to re-enable the archived user on our end, so when you are restoring to a ‘new’ active user, Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for Google Apps still thinks it’s a deleted user.

Once the services have been re-enabled on the Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for Google Apps side, you may need to click the 'Next Backup: Reauthorize' button on each Google service tab under the user's Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for Google Apps profile before kicking off the restore.

Once the services are re-authorized, you will be able to run the restore.
