How do I access Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for Google Apps if Google is down?

The primary option to log in to Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for Google Apps is through the 'Log In Using Google' button on our main log-in page (http://app.backupify.com/). But, in cases where Google is inaccessible (or if you've lost access to your Google Apps account), Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for Google Apps gives you the option to use a separate username and password to access the site.

If you set up a trial with us originally, you would have already created this manual password. For any other scenario, you can set this password up using the steps below:

  • Click the gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the Dashboard
  • Navigate to Account Settings
  • Select Change Password
  • Enter your new password, and click Save

Any user that logs in to the application, whether they are an Administrator or an End User/Child User, can set up these passwords.

If you already created a password, but do not remember it, you can reset it here.

To log-in with the password, head to our main log-in page, and enter your Google Apps username and the password in the fields below the 'Log In Using Google' button titled 'Log in using Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for Google Apps credentials'

NOTE: Our manual password option does not include 2 Factor Authentication. Our Product Management team plans to roll out 2 Factor Authentication for our manual password option in a future version of Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for Google Apps.
