Storm season is back, bringing with it the potential for significant weather events. If you have clients in areas prone to infrastructure disruption, visit the Disaster Recovery Resources guide for preparedness information. Datto recommends performing proactive disaster recovery testing to mitigate potential downtime. I have enabled Google’s 2-step verification for Gmail; do your backups support that?

We do not use 2-step verification as of now, because OAuth verification does not use 2-step verification that Google has for accessing Gmail via a web browser. Google's API for OAuth authentication (for 3rd party apps like us) does not use 2-step verification.  2-step was created to prevent others from logging in to your account from the front-end with just a username and password. We verify through much stricter backend protocols using OAuth. That being said, you can enable 2-step on your Google accounts to protect against others logging in to your account.  This will allow you to have that extra layer of security that you need. Our backup services will still work on the backend and your data will be backed up.
