Error: "The Agentless System is Missing"



Agentless backups fail with the error "The agentless system is missing."

This backup error is found in the Protect tab.

This error  can be caused by the host or vCenter Server being offline. It is also caused by a change to the moRef or vm ID. To resolve a moRef or vmID change:

  • Configure System Settings for the affected agent in the Protect tab,

  • Under Advanced in the sidebar menu, click Reassign Agentless System.
