This article describes LLDP and how to implement it on a Datto Switch.

Environment

Description

The Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) is a Layer 2, vendor-neutral protocol that allows network devices to advertise capabilities, identity, and other information. This data can potentially be queried by SNMP.

Procedure

1. In the Navigation window, click Switches, then select Switch Settings from the expanded options.

3. Click the Enable checkbox in the LLDP row, as seen in Figure 2.

4. Click Save Switch Settings.
