How Long Should My Initial Backupify / Datto SaaS Protection Backups Take To Complete?

How long should my initial backups take to complete?

  • Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection 2.0 for G Suite
  • Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection 2.0 for Office 365

On activation, Datto SaaS Protection/Backupify 2.0 takes a backup of the full dataset for each added user. Initial backup duration depends entirely on the size of those datasets. On average, they take 24-72 hours. Initial user backups are run in parallel; users with smaller data sets will complete first and that data will populate the system as each individual user completes.

Once the initial backup job completes, each user's subsequent backups will be much faster, as they only bring over new and updated data.
