This article explains what archived agents are and how to view them.

An archived agent is a protected system's backup chain that has been permanently converted to a read-only archive by a device operator through the Archive Agent function. Archived agents retain their ability to be used for restoration in the event of a Disaster Recovery scenario, but you cannot write new backups to them.
The following table shows the total number of archived agents you may have on a Datto appliance at any time. This chart only lists models that have limits on archived agents:

Any offsite data for archived agents count against your appliance's total offsite data quota. Datto will continue to bill for the archived dataset until you delete the agent locally and offsite. Depending on your Datto device model and billing plan, additional charges may apply. If you have questions regarding billing for archived agents, contact your Datto Sales Executive.
Viewing archived agents
In the Datto Partner Portal
On the BCDR Status page, archived agents will show a value of Agent Archived in the Last 10 Backups column.
In the Device GUI
Click the Protect tab of the device UI, then click the Show Archived button at the top of the screen.
To hide archived agents again, click Hide Archived at the top of the screen.
