Error: "Rapid Rollback encountered an error due to unclean rescue agent shutdown"
Issue
When you attempt to perform a Rapid Rollback that uses a Rescue Agent as its data source, you receive the error message "Rapid Rollback encountered an error due to unclean rescue agent shutdown. No changes have been made to your system. Please turn off the rescue agent from inside the VM and take a snapshot before trying again."

Cause
During virtualization, the Rescue Agent you are restoring from was not shut down cleanly, causing the selected snapshot to be unusable for a rollback.
Resolution
1. Virtualize the Rescue Agent. When the agent finishes booting, shut it down gracefully from within the virtualization.
2. From the Protect tab of the Datto appliance GUI, take a new snapshot of the Rescue Agent.
3. Attempt the Rapid Rollback again.
