SIRIS, ALTO, and NAS: Datto Windows Agent installer exits with Acronis Error



When you try to install the Datto Windows Agent, the installer exits with the error message "Acronis files (snapman.sys and/or snman380.sys) found on system. Datto Windows Agent installation cannot continue."


  • Datto Windows Agent
  • Acronis True Image
  • Acronis Disk Director


  • Acronis True Image or Acronis Disk Director is currently installed on the protected system.
  • An Acronis product was not cleanly-uninstalled from the protected system.


1. The Datto Windows Agent is incompatible with Acronis True Image and Acronis Disk Director. Ensure that neither product is present on the protected system before attempting to install the Datto Windows Agent.

2. If neither product is present, a previous Acronis uninstall may not have completed cleanly. Ensure that the snapman.sys and snman380.sys system files are not present on the protected machine before attempting to install the Datto Windows agent.
