Question

How do I disable an access point from a network?

Environment

  • Datto Access points

Answer

While access points do not have a dedicated disable feature, you can remove them from the network, or you can shut down the access point by removing its power.

To remove an access point from a network:

1. Navigate to a device web session for your access point.

2. Click the Manage dropdown, then click Access Points.

3. Click the ⚙ (gear) icon in the Actions column, then either click Move to Network to move the access point to another network not broadcasting an SSID, or click Delete to delete the access point.
