When you try to start a backup for a system protected by the Datto Windows agent, you see the error message, "Error: This agent requires a reboot of the protected system. Please reboot the protected system," on your Datto appliance.

The protected system was not rebooted after the installation of the Datto Windows Agent.
1. Reboot the production machine to finalize the Datto Windows Agent installation.
2. After the production machine reboots, start a backup for it from the Protect tab of the Datto appliance GUI.
3. If you continue to see the error message, contact Datto Technical Support for assistance.
