This article describes the Port Settings page for a Datto Router.

Environment

  • Datto Router

Description

The Port Settings page allows you to configure all primary networking options for each port. Both LAN and WAN ports are configurable.

Navigation

1. Navigate to a device web session for your router.

2. Click the Manage dropdown, then click Routers.

3. Click the name of your desired router.

4. Click Port Settings.

Configuration

LAN Ports

The following settings are configurable for each LAN port on your router:

1. Port: Displays the port number.

2. Label: Allows you to input a name or description for a port.

3. Enable: Allows you to enable or disable a port.

4. Link Mode/Speed: Allows you to define the speed of a port. The link mode will automatically configure based on the connected device. The following speeds are available:

  • Auto (Automatically configure speed based on the connected device)
  • 10 Mbps
  • 100 Mbps
  • 1000 Mbps

5. 24v PoE Enabled: Allows you to enable or disable on a port if available.

6. LAN Segregation: Enabling this will prevent inter-LAN communication (LAN to LAN traffic).

WAN Ports

The following settings are configurable for each WAN port on your router:

1. Port: Displays the port number.

2. Type: Displays the port type.

3. Priority: Allows you to prioritize traffic for a WAN port.

4. Link Mode/Speed: Allows you to define the speed of a port. The link mode will automatically configure based on the connected device. The following speeds are available:

  • Auto (Automatically configure speed based on the connected device)
  • 100 Mbps
  • 1000 Mbps

LTE

You can select the Enable checkbox to enable or disable LTE functionality on your router if available.

Under the Management-Only LTE failover billing policy, only router cloud-management functionality will be available when the router operates exclusively in LTE failover mode.

USB Host

You can select the Enable checkbox to enable or disable the USB port on the router. Use this feature only as directed by Datto Technical Support.
