Datto RMM: How Do I Find Out What Version of Mono Is Installed on My Linux Device?

Follow

Question

How do I find out what version of Mono is installed on my Linux device?

Environment

  • Datto RMM

Answer

The Datto RMM Agent requires a full runtime version of the Mono open-source toolset to be installed on each Linux device. To determine the currently installed version of mono:

  1. Open a Linux terminal session.

  2. Type the following command:
    mono --version

  3. If command not found is returned, Mono is not installed, or the installation is broken.

A positive return in OS X and Linux looks similar to the code below. The version information is in the first line.

Admins-MacBook-Pro:~ AdminAEM$ mono --versionMono JIT compiler version 3.10.0 ((detached/47db868 Thu Oct 2 22:04:39 EDT 2014)Copyright (C) 2002-2014 Novell, Inc, Xamarin Inc and Contributors.
