Datto RMM: AllocationCode Does Not Exist or Is Invalid

Issue

Monitor raises an alert and Datto RMM fails to create a PSA ticket with the following error message, "Reference value on field: AllocationCodeID of type: AllocationCode does not exist or is invalid. ; on record number [1]"

Environment

  • Datto RMM

Cause

This occurs when the monitor is using custom Ticket Details settings and the selected PSA setting is no longer available or active (e.g. Work type was de-activated in PSA after the monitor was set up in Datto RMM).

Resolution

In Autotask PSA, navigate to the Ticket Details screen and select the correct Work Type.
