Legacy Open Mesh: How do I disable the LEDs On My Open Mesh Access Point?

Question

How do I disable the LED(s) on my Open Mesh Access Point?

Environment

  • Open Mesh Access Points

Answer

With firmware version 6.3 firmware and later, you can turn off the LEDs across all access points within a network.

You can find this toggle under Configure → Advanced Miscellaneous. The LEDs will be disabled one to two minutes after turning off this setting if your AP is online and actively checking in. This toggle will not be visible on firmware versions 6.2 firmware and earlier.

All models are supported, Models MR600 and OM5P-AC, however, cannot disable their ethernet LEDs (which should only apply if in a gateway position).
