Why does Open Mesh only ship to the billing address on my credit card?

Open-Mesh is vigilant about ensuring the authenticity of all orders that are placed. We take credit card fraud seriously, and take multiple measures to ensure all orders are legitimate before shipping them.

Because we found that a large volume of orders that were placed with a different shipping address than billing address were fraudulent, we now require the billing and shipping addresses to match.

We also take other steps to detect and prevent fraud. All fraudulent credit card orders are reported to the appropriate authorities and the credit card company. And if a fraudulent order is shipped, we can disable these devices from operating on production networks because we track the MAC address for all units shipped on each order.

These measures, among others, have greatly reduced fraud and help us keep our hardware prices low.
