This article discusses the Site Management page for SharePoint sites in Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection 2.0.

Environment

  • Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection 2.0 for Office 365

Description

This article describes the provisioning process for new customers only. You will not see the same options when working with an existing customer's interface. See our Why Does My New Customer’s SharePoint Site Management Experience Look Different? article for more details.

The updated experience is currently only available for new customer accounts starting March 15, 2019. Existing customers will receive the update in an upcoming release.

Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection 2.0 will pull all available SharePoint Sites associated with your configured Office 365 instance and display them in the SharePoint Site Management page. From this page, you can:

  • Choose the Sites you wish to license and back up.
  • Enable Auto-Add to back up future Sites automatically.

Navigating to Site Management

How you access the Site Management page depends on when you created your account.

If you are a new customer and you've created your account on or after March 15, 2019

If you are an existing customer and you've created your account before March 15, 2019

REFRESH

To force Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection 2.0 to back up new changes in your Sites' data, make sure Auto Add is switched on, then click REFRESH. By default, the system will look for changes once per day.

Clicking REFRESH searches and discovers new sites in the Office 365 environment on demand.

  • If auto-add is enabled, the process mentioned above will occur with newly discovered sites.
  • If auto-add is disabled, the newly discovered sites will not be protected immediately and will require manual intervention.
