How do changes to mailbox names in the Datto SaaS Protection/Backupify for Office 365 live environment affect the backup? 

Environment

  • Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for G Suite
  • Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for Office 365 

Answer

Within 24 hours of changing your mailbox name, Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection will update the name to match the live environment, unless the original name is attached as an alias to the account in the live environment.
