For over a year, Datto has offered two separate File Sync and Share platforms - Datto Drive Cloud and Autotask Workplace. After careful consideration, we have decided to consolidate down to a single solution - Autotask Workplace (soon to be renamed Datto Workplace). This change went into effect on July 1, 2019, at which time access to Datto Drive was shut off. We believe that the features and functionality of Workplace, as well as the scalability of the platform, will provide you with the most robust solution for your customers and the greatest margin opportunity for your business. This change does not impact Datto Drive Local. If you are using Datto Drive Local on any of your SIRIS devices, we will continue to support it.
If you are interested in migrating your Datto Drive account to Workplace, contact your Datto Sales Executive. We will provide you with a Datto Drive Partner Migration Guide and a team account invitation.
To help get you up and running quickly, Workplace includes mass configuration and deployment options that you can configure and run via your RMM of choice; detailed deployment instructions will appear in the account setup email you will receive for each Team. Once your data populates in Workplace, you can uninstall the Datto Drive client from your customers’ systems.
If you do not wish to continue service with Workplace, please let your account representative know. There will be no penalty for terminating Datto Drive service.
