SIRIS, ALTO, and NAS: Error: Bad Request Timestamp () [40105 Error] when logging on with Duo MFA

When attempting to log on to a restored local or offsite virtual machine that is using DUO Multi-Factor Authentication (external link), you receive the error, "Bad Request Timestamp () [40105 Error]."

  • Datto SIRIS
  • Datto ALTO

This error can be caused by an incorrect OS time on the virtual machine.

1. Boot the server into safe mode, and set the correct time and timezone.

2. Reboot into normal mode.

DUO Multi-Factor Authentication should now work and allow you to log in to the virtualization normally. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Datto Technical Support.
