Where can I view my QuickBooks Desktop log files?

Answer

You can find the QuickBooks Desktop log files in the following locations:

  • On the host machine, at:
    • C:\Program Files\Autotask\AutotaskConnect\QuickBooks\
    • C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Autotask\AutotaskConnect\QuickBooks.
  • In the Autotask application, at:
    • Autotask menu Admin Extensions & Integrations QuickBooks Extension Invoice Log
    • Autotask menu Admin Extensions & Integrations QuickBooks Extension Purchase Order Log
    • Autotask menu Admin Extensions & Integrations QuickBooks Extension Payroll Log
    • Autotask menu Admin Extensions & Integrations QuickBooks Extension Expense Transfer Log

Once you begin transferring data from Autotask to QuickBooks, Autotask will maintain a log of all transfers in the Purchase Order Transfer, Invoice Transfer, Payroll Transfer and Expense Reports logs on your local PC. These logs provide valuable information to our Customer Support team when a transfer error occurs; we may ask you to email them to us to assist you with troubleshooting scenarios.
