Autotask PSA: Why are open projects not appearing for me?

Why are open projects not appearing for me?

  • Autotask PSA

Projects are visible on a need-to-know basis, as determined by your Autotask Security Level & Line of Business.

Security level permissions are granted by project type: clientinternal, proposal, and template. There are three possible levels of access to assigned by type:

  • View all of this project type allows you to view any project of the type.

  • View none of this project type prevents you from viewing any projects of the type.

  • View my projects of this type allows you to view any project where you are the Project Lead, a Team Member, the Lead of the Department associated with the project, or the Account Manager or Opportunity owner of the Company or Opportunity associated with the project.

If the security level grants access to this project, you will need to check Line Of Business.

  • If you are assigned to no Line of Business, then you can see every Project based on your Security Level.

  • If you are assigned to one or more Lines of Business, you can only see Projects that are either associated with one of the Lines of Business that you are associated with or associated with no Line of Business at all.

  • You will also see Projects that are assigned to you if you are a Project Team Member or Project Lead, regardless of the Line of Business association.
