Autotask PSA: Why is the Autotask time stamp posting a future time?

Why is the Autotask time stamp posting a future time?

  • Autotask PSA

Time Stamp of the time entry matches the end time of the time entry.

The time stamps that appear on time entries are directly connected to the end times of the time entry.

For example, you may see a time entry that is showing a time stamp on Tuesday, even if today was Monday. In this case, the employee mistakenly set the send date of the time entry into the future; therefore, the time stamp of the time entry appears in the future as well.

Note: Any changes made with a future dated time entry will show in ticket history for the actual time. For instance, on May 5th, you create a time entry for May 18th and mark the ticket complete with the time entry. While the time will show for May 18th, on the ticket, the edits will be recorded for May 5th, including the Complete Date of the ticket.
