Can existing tenants be tied to additional Office 365 accounts or change providers?

Environment

  • Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection for Office 365

Answer

It is not possible to tie an existing Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection accounts to additional tenants.

Each Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection client is tied directly to one(1) tenant. Once the Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection account has been created, you will not be able to switch tenants.  Changing to a new Office 365 account or moving your existing account to another provider (i.e.; from GoDaddy to Microsoft) will stop the backups currently running and requires a new account.
