This article explains how to add administrators to Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection. Use this article when changing SaaS user account permissions to Admin.
- Backupify 2.0 for G Suite
Backupify account owners can log in with their G Suite credentials as long as Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection is backing up their email. Otherwise, account owners must log in with the password they created when setting up their Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection account.
You will need to add all other admin-status accounts via the Manage Administrators page in the Backupify application environment. Once added, they can log in with their credentials, or through the use of Google SSO (if they backed up their account).
Add an administrator
1. From the Backupify 2.0 Google Backup Status page, click the Admin tab, then select Manage Administrators from the drop-down menu.
2. From the Manage Administrators page, click Add Administrators at the top-right of the page.
3. In the Add Administrators dialog window, populate the following fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Confirm Password
After you have filled out the necessary fields, click ADD.
Adding administrators with existing Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection accounts
If the user you are adding already has a Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection account, you will see a dialog box asking if you want to proceed.
If you proceed, the added account will appear as a selectable option on the Partner Portal's Multi-Account Login page.
