When attempting to log on to a restored virtual machine that is using DUO Multi-Factor Authentication (external link), you receive the error, "Bad Request Timestamp () [40105 Error]."

The OS time on the virtual machine is incorrect. This issue can happen when the virtualization is started with no network connection.
1. Boot the server into safe mode, and set the correct time and time zone.
2. Reboot into normal mode.
Alternatively, you can launch the virtualization with networking enabled. Doing so will allow the OS within the VM to refresh its timestamp from an NTP server.
Once the time is corrected, DUO Multi-Factor Authentication will allow you to log-in to the virtualization normally. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Datto Technical Support.
