When you unprotect a site, Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection 2.0 will open a dialog window asking you to confirm the status change.
If a site is Unprotected, Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection will continue detecting the user but will stop taking active backups. You can set an unprotected site to Active at any time.
Unprotecting a site
1. To unprotect a site, navigate to the Site Management page in your Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection 2.0 environment.
2. Find the Active site you wish to unprotect, click the status badge drop-down under the Status column, then select Unprotect. A confirmation dialog window will open.
3. In the Unprotect Site dialog window, type 'unprotect my data' in the text box, then click the red UNPROTECT SITE button.
When you unprotect a site, you will not be able to see or access its backup data. Set the SharePoint site back to Active to access its backup data.
