This article explains how to tell if a Team Site will appear as a Team or as a Team Site in Datto SaaS Protection 2.0 for Office 365.
- Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection 2.0 for Office 365
When working with SharePoint Team Sites in Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection 2.0, it can be unclear whether they will display as a Team or as a Team Site.
- Teams are managed in Team Management and Team Recovery.
- Team Sites are manged in Site Management and Site Recovery.
The location in which the Team Site displays depends on whether it is linked to a Team. All Teams will make a linked Team Site, but not all Team Sites are linked to a Team. Also, users can create a Team Site on its own and then link it to a Team at a later date.
If a Team Site is linked to a Team
If a TeamSite is linked to a Team, it will always appear under the Team, and it will not display as a Site at all.
If a Team Site is not linked to a Team, or linked to a Team at a later date
If a TeamSite is backed up, it will be in Site Management and Site Recovery. If the Site is then linked to a Team at a later date, Backupify/Datto SaaS Protection will automatically move it from Site Management and Site Recovery to Team Management and Team Recovery on the next sync. This move will happen even if Auto-Add is disabled for both Teams and Sites.
To view the data on the Teams recovery page, you must select the CONTENT dataset.
To see the same view of the data as on the Active Sites page in SharePoint, navigate to the /Shared Documents/General folder If you have more then one channel under your Team, navigate to the /Shared Documents/ folder.
