How do I read my Datto SaaS Protection invoice?

Environment

  • Datto SaaS Protection 2.5 for G Suite
  • Datto SaaS Protection 2.5 for Office 365

Answer

Your Datto SaaS Protection invoice is broken into multiple sections as listed below.

The invoice heading

This section, at the top of the screen, contains:

A. Your invoice number and  date

B. Datto's remittance information, including contact emails, wire transfer number, account number, ABA number, and bank SWIFT code

C. Your on-file billing, tax, and payment term information. 

Total Charges

This section shows:

A. The amount due and due date

B. The payment ID number

C. The total service charges

D. Any credits applied to the account

E. The total sales tax

F. The total of all columns. 

Summary

The Summary section contains:

A. A restatement of the total amount due

B. A breakdown by commitment term and retention type

C. The total number of licenses used for each commitment term and retention type combination

D. The billing rate for each commitment term and retention type combination

E. The size of the pricing pool for each commitment term and retention type combination

F. The total cost for each commitment term and retention type combination

G. The total credits applied for each commitment term and retention type combination

H. Any client-level discounted subscriptions

Client Monthly Charges

This section contains cards for each client protected under your account. Each card shows:

A. The client name, and the total amount due for that client

B. The client's subscription type

C. The end date of the client's commitment term

D. The total number of licenses for which the client is being billed

E. The rate at which the client is being billed

F. A restatement of the total amount due
