Datto SaaS Protection: Partner Portal integration

This article outlines Partner Portal integration for Datto SaaS Protection services and administrators.

Description

Partner Portal integration can provide Datto SaaaS Protection clients with access to their SaaS Protection Status information, as well as Super Administrator access to the Client.

Creating a client user in the Datto Partner Portal will provide Super Administrator access to the Datto SaaS Protection account. For information on only providing clients with Administrator access to Datto SaaS Protection, see Additional Resources below.

Index

Create a client and link Datto SaaS Protection services

1. As an Admin, log in to the Datto Partner Portal.  Click Admin → Manage Clients.

2. If the Client already appears on this list, click the edit icon and skip to step 4.  If the Client is not listed, click Create Client.

3.  Enter a name for the Client and click Create Client. You can change the name of the Client after it has been created if you need to.

4. After creating and accessing the Client, click Link Services.

5. Click Search, find the Datto SaaS Protection client, and click Link SaaS Protection Services.

Add client users

1. As an Admin, log in to the Datto Partner Portal.  Click Admin → Manage Clients.

2. Scroll down and click Add Users.

3. Enter the client user's information then click Add Client User.

4. After adding the client's user, a password reset request is emailed to them from noreply@datto.com.  The Client logs in at https://partners.dattobackup.com and selects Status → SaaS Protection Status to view their Datto SaaS Protection status.

The clients can reference Viewing the SaaS Protection Status page in the Datto Partner Portal to help understand the reporting.  

Accessing the Datto SaaS Protection account

Client administrators added to the Datto Partner Portal can use the same credentials to access their Datto SaaS Protection account as a Super Administrator at app.backupify.com.

Removing and unlinking users and services

You can remove a Datto SaaS Protection service, or Client Admin by clicking the trash can icon next to the client or services name.
